Week two of EdTech has proved to be somewhat overwhelming. That being said I am slowly feeling more organized and grounded in what I need to do and what is expected of me. This week I was yet again, introduced to more new technology and apps to learn, download, and make accounts for. Sometimes I feel like these apps have a danger of making things more complicated, instead of streamlining communication and organization. I do find, however, that one new app stuck out to me as being really useful this week. The app Trello! I absolutely love this app and its capabilities of keeping my many projects organized. I’ve already made boards that go beyond just my 336 Free Inquiry project to help me better navigate my endless assignments and readings throughout this teacher education experience. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone with a busy schedule, or who has multiple projects on the go at once.
This week my biggest help in working through the overwhelming feelings of PDP was my first learning pod meeting. This allowed me to further connect with my colleagues and also know that everyone is feeling the exact same way. I now feel like I am a part of a group of people that will help support and guide each other through the learning process. Despite this new age of distance learning the pod meetings have helped me make connections and recognize what a supportive learning environment I am now a part of.
The ball is officially rolling… I am ready to see what week three has to throw at me.
