This week I played around with some video editing technology! I used iMovie to create a get to know you video for one of my other PDP courses and I found the program really straightforward and easy to use! I decided to make the video a picture collage and included some music and a voice over. The audio was really easy to integrate into the video, iMovie has plenty of preset music tracks to add and the voice over was easy to record and edit. I also spent time finding and editing the images I wanted to include, this was very straightforward and I thought the end result looked really great! I loved using this technology and I can definitely see myself using it in my future teaching. I may use it to create instructional videos, recordings for students to practice with, or videos for music contest/festival applications. One thing I also like about iMovie is how professional the end product can look even if you are just a beginner.
